I'm Rachel Friend — an attorney with decades of financial oversight and management, former Mayor Pro Tem of Boulder, and lifelong public servant. I'm running for Boulder County Treasurer because this office is a quiet linchpin for much that we all depend on — from our roads to our schools to our fire departments — and I want to ensure our County operations run smoothly in the background with excellent customer service in the foreground.
I've overseen budgets from $1 million to $500 million, led teams of hundreds, and served as an administrative law judge — including helping to steer Boulder through the COVID crisis.
The Treasurer's Office should run so seamlessly that you never have to worry about it going wrong. That's the essential, behind-the-scenes work I'm excited to deliver.
